On the historic site of Baltimore's Memorial Stadium, Green House at Stadium Place provides skilled nursing care in a LEED Silver-certified facility that fundamentally changes the traditional approach to elder care. Following the Green House model developed by Dr. William Thomas, this advanced facility prioritizes dignity and comfort in long-term care.

Residential Design for Enhanced Living

The facility's efficient design divides living spaces into four intimate households, each serving twelve residents. Within these households, private bedrooms and bathrooms encircle shared living spaces, creating a genuine sense of home. The heart of each household features a welcoming kitchen and dining room, alongside an inviting living room with a hearth. Each floor includes dedicated salon services and bathing facilities.

A Model for National Change

As Maryland's first implementation of the Green House model, this facility signals a significant shift in long-term care philosophy. Supported by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and implemented through NCB Capital Impact, Green House at Stadium Place contributes to a nationwide initiative moving away from institutional-style care settings. This approach demonstrates how well-planned architecture enhances quality of life for elders in our community.
