Looking to increase healthy, sustainable, and affordable housing options in Northern Virginia, we collaborated with Community Housing Partners to design a 227-apartment community. This first phase of the development provides families and individuals with rental options for lower incomes. As a certified EarthCraft project, it occupies 16 acres and was constructed with the aim of promoting a healthier planet, maximizing indoor air quality, reducing utility bills, and conserving water and energy.

Located among six, four-story, wood-framed buildings, units include one-, two-, and three-bedroom layouts to accommodate varying needs. The development includes a walking trail for residents looking to improve or maintain health and wellness. A community center offers computer rooms for internet access to support educational or professional goals. Funding for the development relied on Low-Income Housing Tax Credits and support from the Virginia Housing Development Authority, both of which focus on attaining quality housing.
