As operations manager of our higher education sector, Matt brings his lifelong passion for creative problem-solving to every project. His approach to architecture begins with careful listening and thorough understanding of client needs, allowing design solutions to be influenced by environmental context, local culture, and historical references. He views architecture as a three-dimensional experience, carefully considering how people interact with spaces from their initial approach through their entire journey within a building.

Matt chose to specialize in higher education because universities represent scaled-down versions of cities, offering opportunities to work on diverse building types while creating meaningful spaces for learning and community. His leadership style emphasizes mentorship, believing in the importance of knowledge sharing to develop the next generation of architects.

Beyond his professional work, Matt maintains his creative edge through various hands-on pursuits, including sketching, home renovations, cooking, car restoration, and fine art. He finds continuous inspiration in both natural and built environments, drawing from patterns, structures, colors, and the interplay of light and shadow in his surroundings.

Matt's commitment to creativity, problem-solving, and attention to detail ensures that each project delivers not just functional spaces, but visually pleasing environments that enhance the user experience through thoughtful design and careful consideration of materials, views, and architectural details.
