Mike began cultivating his interest in the built environment at a young age, while working at a local lumberyard and repairing homes. This hands-on experience, combined with his passion for design, established a trajectory toward architecture. His career began as a cooperative education student, eventually leading him to Marks Thomas in 1989, prior to their 2017 merger with Moseley. Since then, he has continued to work as a team member and leader on a variety of project types.

As a principal within the firm’s senior living sector, he brings deep insight into its unique spaces, resident needs, and staff support requirements. He takes a practical interest in new technologies, as well as evolving structural and mechanical systems.

In every project, regardless of building type or sector, he strives to implement his rich history of experience along with proven design methods. In doing so, he guides and motivates his team with practical insight, clear communication, and thoughtful design solutions. This approach keeps each client’s needs at the forefront, ultimately creating spaces that evoke human connection through a blend of efficiency and aesthetic beauty.
