From school superintendent to Moseley's Chair of the Board, Stewart brings an invaluable perspective—that of the educational leader who was once Moseley’s client. When the opportunity arose in 2011 to join Moseley as president, his firsthand appreciation of the firm's commitment to design made the decision clear. His career, spanning education and business leadership, has cemented his belief that true success emerges not from individual achievements but from nurturing the collective talents of a team.

Under Stewart's guidance, Moseley's fundamental commitments to solution-driven design, relationship building, and community impact have grown stronger. Beyond expanding the firm's public sector portfolio, he has spearheaded Moseley's growth in senior living and multifamily housing developments and overseen three mergers. His time as an educator has shaped a distinctive leadership style: one that prioritizes continuous growth and professional development at every level of the organization, which he champions in his role as dean of Moseley University.

Children's boundless imagination—something Stewart witnesses regularly as a grandfather—has shaped his approach to leadership in unexpected ways. Throughout Moseley, he cultivates an environment where creative thinking flourishes and team members pursue their fullest potential. By prioritizing attentive listening and genuine support, he helps colleagues identify and seize opportunities for growth.

In his role as chair of the board, Stewart continues to strengthen Moseley's legacy of enhancing communities through purposeful design. Nothing brings him greater satisfaction than witnessing the tangible impact of Moseley's work—whether in the testimonials of building occupants or in the professional evolution of his colleagues. By bridging his experience in both public service and private enterprise, he continues to chart a course that amplifies Moseley's positive influence on the built environment.
