Jim McCalla

The dual influences of engineering and art led Jim toward architecture. He spent childhood hours taking apart and rebuilding objects with his engineer father while simultaneously developing his creative design interests. Growing up with a mother who taught school—and later surrounded by educators including his sister, mother-in-law, father-in-law, and sister-in-law—Jim developed a natural focus on designing educational facilities, merging these family influences into his work.
After practicing architecture for nearly four decades, Jim now serves as chief financial officer at Moseley, where he brings valuable industry insight to his leadership role. He believes in supporting others to reach their full potential through coaching, challenging, and celebrating their achievements. Known for his ability to remain calm under pressure and read situations effectively, Jim's measured approach helps create an environment of trust and stability.
Jim finds his greatest satisfaction in collaborative achievements that strengthen both the firm and its people. His commitment to helping others improve their lives, both professionally and financially, drives his approach to business leadership. This blend of business acumen and industry experience has established Jim as a key leader in guiding Moseley's continued growth and success.
