Bill Brown

Bill’s unique design approach stems from his interest in the interplay between architecture’s technical and artistic components. As a principal in Moseley’s K-12 sector, Bill applies his strengths to academic settings, resulting in schools that are both functional and beautiful.
His work is driven by a deep interest in educational environment theory, which considers how built environments affect the learning process. Examining how these elements intertwine propels Bill to help design spaces that amplify the academic experience. Ultimately, his hope is that this will help students, teachers, and communities thrive.
In his role as a leader, Bill places empathy and service at the forefront of his efforts. He adopts the posture of a servant leader, striving to build an empowered, collaborative culture that encourages fresh ideas and creative solutions. Widely respected for this approach, Bill has earned several awards from the American Institute of Architects and the Association for Educational Environments. He also strives to give back to his profession and his community through mentorship and leadership development. In alignment with this goal, Bill has served as president of AIA Virginia and president of the A4LE Southeast Region.
